An international BESS manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer.

As an Electrical Engineer specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of BESS projects. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, you will be responsible for electrical system design, equipment selection, integration, and testing of BESS installations. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities will contribute to the successful deployment of renewable energy solutions and support South Africa's transition to a sustainable energy future.

Essential Requirements:

Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering Degree, NQF level 8 / 4-year Degree / Post-graduate Diploma
Minimum of 3-5 years work experience in design and commissioning
BESS knowledge
Knowledge of commercial inverter systems
Working knowledge of OHS
AutoCAD/SolidWorks (advantageous)
Soft skills
Technical report writing: Essential
MS Office: Essential
Presentation skills
