Industrial DesignerLocation: Brackenfell Our client is a Cape Town-based company that specialises in the design, manufacture, and marketing of premier quality, functional stainless steel wire products. They are seeking a skilled Industrial Designer to join their team. If you have a passion for product development, expertise in SolidWorks, and an eye for industrial design, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company that values craftsmanship and precision.

What You Will Do

Conceptualizing and developing new product designs in line with customer and market requirements.
Creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
Collaborating with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective for production.
Assisting in product prototyping, testing, and refining designs for optimal functionality and durability.
Ensuring all designs meet the hygienic and industrial standards required for food and homeware applications.
Providing input on material selection and manufacturing processes

What You Need

Degree/Diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Mechanical Engineering.
Proficiency in SolidWorks (essential).
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and product development.
Ability to translate concepts into functional, high-quality products.
