A leading FMCG Packaging Group is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant, based in Cornubia, Durban.
- Section: Finance and Admin
- Reports to: Snr Financial Accountant
Core purpose of the job:
- To fulfil a support and resource function to the Group by managing the following responsibilities and any other related administrative duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Fixed Asset
- Maintains and prepares company and tax Fixed Assets Registers monthly.
- Process acquisitions, disposals, transfers and depreciation
- Reconcile Fixed Asset Registers to the General Ledger accounts.
Treasury
- Process and reconcile different divisions/business units cashbooks.
- Load and maintain payments on banking platform
- Load payments on foreign banking platform
Bookkeeping
- Prepare monthly balance sheet recons
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reviewed and reconciled
Adhoc
- Create interco tax invoices and credit notes
- Reconcile and balance loan accounts
- Manage company credit & fleet cards including expensing as per the schedules
- Assist in budgeting
- Support to Financial accounting team
- Assist with year end audit
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- A relevant financial qualification
- Printvis NAV Experience
- 3 years’ experience in similar role
