RPO’s client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Controller to join their team at their Distribution Centre in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient stock flow, inventory integrity, and system accuracy across inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse operations. Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse Capacity & Space Utilisation
- Monitor and manage warehouse capacity planning, third-party storage, and internal space optimisation.
- Ensure consistent functionality to support efficient Supply Chain operations.
Inbound & Outbound Stock Management
- Oversee inbound and outbound processes, including purchase orders, batch creation, documentation, and lot release.
- Resolve failed purchase and sales orders, manage batch creations, confirm deliveries via WMS, and ensure same-day RTS with appropriate authorisation.
- Track cycle times, distribute Lot Releases and marketing samples, and maintain comprehensive filing of receiving documentation.
Stock Replenishment & Project Resource Allocation
- Conduct ABC analysis and manage pick face replenishments.
- Evaluate project resource needs and allocate appropriately.
- Supervise reworked SKUs and stock rework processes, ensuring compliance with quality and documentation standards.
- Administer damaged, expired, or condemned stock according to SAHPRA regulations.
Inventory Control & Reconciliation
- Facilitate daily receiving, storage, and inventory clearing procedures.
- Manage cyclical stock takes, reconciliation of bulk stock, and ABC classification based on business rules.
- Compile and share monthly reports highlighting trends and problem areas.
Customer Query Resolution
- Investigate and resolve issues related to short supply, oversupply, and general order discrepancies using D365 or other systems.
Housekeeping & Invoicing
- Conduct regular stock checks in ERP, manage bin accuracy (bulk, picking, interim), and invoice orders from virtual warehouses.
Stock Rework Management
- Assess and prioritise stock rework requests for third-party service providers.
- Coordinate project resources and track progress to completion under QA approval.
Cold Chain & External Logistics (DSV)
- Reconcile cold chain stock between internal and DSV systems.
- Manage GRV creation, expired stock scrapping, stock transfers, and monthly cold chain reporting.
- Coordinate with 3PLs for transportation quotations, stock validations, invoicing, and dispatches.
FMCG Operations Oversight
- Manage daily retail operations, monitor wholesaler orders, reconcile FMCG stock reports, and ensure accurate dispatching.
Minimum Requirements

Education:
- National Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field is essential.

Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a distribution centre or warehousing environment.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience is an advantage.
