Shift Supervisor

Purpose of the Job:
The main responsibility of a shift supervisor is to oversee and coordinate the activities of a team or department during their shift, ensuring that operations are smooth, efficient, and safe. This role includes a blend of supervisory, operational, and safety duties. Additionally, the supervisor support management by handling daily operations, supervising the team, motivating employees, and maintaining discipline in the shift to meet production targets.

1. Grade 12 Certificate
2. 5 years+ of experience in a supervisory or team leader role
3. 3-5 years of experience working in the manufacturing industry.
4. Any previous experience working with concrete or the manufacturing of concrete products will by highly advantageous.
5. Fluent and well spoken in English (Speak, Read & Write)
6. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve performance targets.
7. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear instruction and reporting.
8. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills for resolving issues effectively.
9. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
10. Technical Skills: Be able to read and understand production drawings.
11. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
12. Reliability & Accountability: Dependable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
13. Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities or work conditions.
14. Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on precision and accuracy in all tasks and processes. Ensures that operations, safety procedures, and quality standards are consistently met with minimal errors.
15. Physical Stamina: Ability to remain on your feet for the entire shift, managing high-energy tasks and standing for extended periods. Must be able to handle physical demands, including lifting and moving materials if needed.
16. Team-Oriented: A collaborative approach to working with others and fostering a positive team environment.
17. Resilience: Ability to work under pressure and handle challenges with a calm and composed demeanour.
18. Must be willing to work overtime when required.
