Hire Resolve's client, a prominent company in the seafood industry renowned for their commitment to sustainable practices and high-quality products, is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide accurate and timely accounting, analysis, budgeting, and forecast information to senior management.
Responsibilities
As a Management Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
- General Ledger and Reconciliations:
- Completing general ledger provision reconciliations on time and clearing reconciling items promptly.
- Journal Management:
- Preparing and ensuring accuracy of monthly accrual journals and other financial entries.
- Expense Reporting:
- Compiling and distributing monthly cost center expense reports with insightful commentary.
- Preparing consolidated fixed and variable operating expense reports for monthly and board packs.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Preparing and consolidating fixed operating expense budgets and generating related reports.
- Sales and Income Reporting:
- Preparing Factory Shops income statements and monthly sales pack reports for various markets/divisions.
- Cost Rate Tables:
- Reviewing and maintaining selling expense cost rate tables to align with actual selling expenses.
- Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis:
- Providing ad hoc financial reports and conducting analysis as required.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaising with management to ensure open communication and the accuracy of work.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintaining a comprehensive and organized filing system.
Requirements
- A B.Com or relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with tools like QlikView/QlikSense/NAV.
- A solid understanding of key business processes and practices.
