Chemvulc, a Robertville based manufacturing and marketing company is currently seeking a Group Finance Manager. The successful candidate’s role is to distribute the financial resources of the Company, be responsible for budget planning and to support the Executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company. Responsibilities: • Prepare and interpret monthly group management reports. • Prepare annual financial statements for the auditors. • The ability to present the monthly group management reports to stakeholders. • Submission of EMP 201, EMP 501, VAT 201, provisional tax and income tax returns. • Submit annual returns for CIPC. • Do daily bank allocations, bank imports and processing of invoices. • Preparing and reviewing payment instructions. • Uploading Sage bi-weekly and monthly payrolls to the bank for payment. • Managing weekly and monthly budgets and forecasting across our companies. • Record journal entries and update the GL accounts. • Assisting external auditors with yearend financials. • Maintaining financial health of the organization. • Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results & the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans. • Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances. • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives & design a framework for these to be met. • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans & agreeing on future paths to be taken. Skill requirements: • Have a solid understanding of financial statistics & accounting principles. • Possess problem solving skills. • Have working knowledge of all statutory legislation & regulations. • Degree in Finance, Accounting. • Managing the finance and procurement departments. • Having 5 to 10 years’ experience in the financial and manufacturing sectors specifically in cost accounting. • Possess the ability to work alone and part of a team. • Must be proficient on an ERP management system. • Setting up of Bill of Material (BOM’s) knowledge will be advantageous.Remuneration offered: R35k per month.
