Description:
To ensure the efficient and accurate receiving, marking, storage, issuing, processing, and dispatching of Stock, Work in Progress parts, and consumables at the Production Stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Accurately capture goods received and Issued in the inventory system (Syspro).
- Store stock in designated locations and ensure items are safely and correctly placed to prevent damage or misplacement.
- Pick, issue, and dispatch goods based on internal requisitions and job cards.
- Ensure all documentation is correctly completed and filed for auditing and traceability.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other handling equipment safely and responsibly (if licensed).
- Ensure the warehouse area is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Assist with local deliveries and collections when required.
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate .
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a warehouse or stores environment, preferably in the mining or engineering sector.
- Basic computer literacy; ability to use inventory systems (Syspro or similar is advantageous).
- Good understanding of inventory control and stock movement principles.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual stock movement.
- Valid forklift licence (advantageous).
- Driver’s licence (Code 08 or higher) preferred.
