A premier 5-star hotel is looking for a skilled and passionate SOUS CHEF to join their culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- and participate in the preparation and presentation of all dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to the hotel's standards.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in planning and updating menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders as needed and ensure proper storage and rotation of all food items.
- Ensure all kitchen activities comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist in scheduling, budgeting, and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Formal culinary training or equivalent experience a MUST
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within a reputable hospitality establishment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Passion for culinary excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
