The Trade Finance Sales Executive will be a dynamic, results-driven hunter responsible for identifying and securing high-growth businesses in need of trade finance solutions. This role requires proactive lead generation, relentless prospecting, and the ability to close deals with business owners and financial decision-makers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance sales environment, with a strong understanding of working capital, import/export financing, and risk management. A proven track record in B2B sales in the Trade Finance or SME lending sector, exceptional negotiation skills, and a fearless approach to driving new business opportunities are essential.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Head of Sales of this established financial services business, you will be tasked with new business development and responsible for:
- Understanding what makes clients tick: Quickly interpreting customer needs, pain points, opportunities, and operational nuances; then adjusting the sales pitch accordingly
- Structuring tailored lending solutions: Combining various financial products to create smart, scalable lending packages that match each client’s risk profile and goals
- Nailing the pitch: Delivering persuasive and polished presentations that seal the deal
- Growing meaningful connections: Maintaining and deepening key client relationships to drive loyalty and recurring business
- Reading the numbers: Analysing financial statements to identify opportunities and craft suitable lending solutions
- Managing the credit journey: Navigating the full credit life cycle, from scoring to approval, with a solid grasp of how risk plays out
- Prospecting like a pro: Cold calling with confidence, building new origination channels, and constantly feeding the top of the sales funnel
- Running solo when needed: Taking initiative and managing the sales cycle independently, with minimal hand-holding
- Building trust: Cultivating long-term client partnerships based on consistent communication, integrity, and follow-through
- Communicating with flair: Bringing clarity and professionalism to every verbal and written interaction

- Knowledge of secured lending products and the industry (including competing products, pricing structures etc)
- Experienced understanding of business financial statements
- Minimum 3 – 5 years proven track record in achieving sales targets at a head-office level
- Basic computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite
