Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a FM to join their team in Pretoria. The role is to oversee and manage all financial operations, ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data, and provide strategic financial direction to support business performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income, cash flow).
  • Interpret and apply IFRS standards.
  • Review and maintain general ledger reconciliations.
  • Oversee fixed asset registers for manufacturing operations.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Perform variance analysis and monitor performance against targets.
  • Compile and evaluate forecasts at SBU and cost centre level.

3. Financial Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.

4. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate annual external audits.
  • Manage financial risk, internal controls, and corporate governance compliance.
  • Handle FOREX requirements and controls.

5. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor cash flow and ensure operational liquidity.
  • Optimize working capital to support business needs.

6. Cost Control & Management

  • Implement and manage cost reduction initiatives.
  • Interpret and analyse financial variances (OPEX, COS, etc.).
  • Generate management reports for cost tracking and efficiency.

7. Process & Systems Improvement

  • Design, implement, and audit internal controls.
  • Improve financial systems and process efficiencies.

8. Payroll & Taxation

  • Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Manage tax compliance, planning, and statutory returns.

9. Strategic Support

  • Partner with senior leadership in developing and executing strategic plans.
  • Provide financial insights to guide long-term business initiatives.

10. Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop finance team members to achieve performance excellence.
  • Foster professional development and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Financial Accounting / Financial Information Systems (preferably university-level).
  • Minimum of [insert years] years in a Financial Manager or equivalent role.
  • Experience in engineering or manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Proficient in financial systems and MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of SA financial regulations and accounting principles.
