Hire Xpectations is a South African company focused exclusively on IT and IT-related roles. Our turnaround time is expedient and everything is expected yesterday. Our client is seeking to hire a Level 3 IT Engineers with 10+ years of experience, to work hand-in-hand with our USA based clients, building and meeting their customer service goals and needs. Please note that the role will be office-based in Johannesburg, operating during USA EST hours (3pm-12am daylight savings dependent)
Main Tasks
Network Setup and Configuration: Design, and configure network infrastructure components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Ensure network connectivity and performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network issues Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments Network Administration: Manage and administer network servers, including domain controllers, DNS servers, DHCP servers, and file servers Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery Network Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance, availability, and utilization using network monitoring tools Analyze network traffic patterns and optimise network performance by fine-tuning configurations Plan and implement network capacity upgrades as necessary to accommodate growing demands Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity, hardware, and software problems Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory Prepare regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and system upgrades Document network policies, procedures, and best practices Network Upgrades and Projects: Plan, coordinate, and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions Implement and enforce network access controls and data privacy measures Main Requirements Windows server (HyperV, Active Directory, DNS, DFS) SonicWALL Firewalls,Unifi switches and APs Office365 (licensing, security and compliance, exchange online) Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) RMM tools (Datto RMM) ESET AV FreePBX Microsoft office suite The company offers a very negotiable salary based on experience and the boxes your check in relation to this role.
