An accounting firm in George is seeking to appoint a Junior Payroll Administrator to support its growing client base.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and is looking to develop further in payroll administration.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 A tertiary qualification in Payroll, HR, or Finance is beneficial Previous experience in a payroll administration role (minimum 1 year) Reliable transport Working knowledge of payroll systems Basic understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, etc.) Proficient in MS Excel and Outlook Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information Excellent organizational and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
Capturing and processing employee information and timesheets Monthly payroll processing for multiple clients Submitting EMP201, UIF, and other statutory returns Issuing payslips and reconciling payroll reports Managing leave, overtime, and salary adjustments Ensuring compliance with relevant labour and tax legislation Handling payroll-related queries from clients and staff Assisting with general administrative tasks within the department
