C&I Technician

Description:

C&I / Automation technician required in Johannesburg East in the Steel and Industrial manufacturing sector. Key responsibilities will include PLC Programming, automation, and instrumentation systems. Will also be responsible for doing Level 2 and Level 3 Industrial MES. Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering with managerial experience in the Automation / MIS. PLC/DCS Programming, Networking, SQL, and VB programming , and be able to work on Power BI. Specialist Automation Technician/ PLC Specialist/ MIS Technician

Key responsibilities will include maintaining automation's, reliability, process control, and instrumentation systems. Will also be responsible for doing Level 2 and Level 3Industrial Automation

Qualification:
National Diploma in electronic or Instrumentation Engineering
Electronic/Instrumentation technician Trade test beneficial.
Managerial experience in the Automation / MIS field

Experience :

• Process Control Systems and Databases experience
• PLC/DCS Programming,
• Networking,
• Database knowledge SQL,
• VB programming

Responsibilities:

• PLC Maintenance and programming (Siemens)
• Aveva System Platform maintenance and updates
• Scada Programming
• Networks: Ethernet, , Profibus, Profinet.
• Managing/ overseeing the Process Control Systems and Databases.
• Programming Visual Basic (VB) ASP.net
• VB Scripting
• SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Functions, Views (
• SSRS
• Be able to work on Power BI
• Maintain and develop intricate and complex systems required by the process control system.
