Are you a passionate leader in Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ) looking to drive compliance and safety excellence in a leading food manufacturing environment?
Our client is seeking an experienced SHERQ Manager who can take ownership of the site’s legal compliance, risk assessments, incident investigations, and internal/external audit readiness.
What You’ll Do:

Ensure full compliance with SHERQ legislation and standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000)

Manage legal appointees (e.g., 16.2s, SHE Reps, First Aiders)
-
Lead investigations on incidents and ensure effective close-outs
-
Own the full IOD (Injury on Duty) process and drive reduction in LTIFR/TRIR
-
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments
-
Develop and execute training, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns
-
Compile and present monthly SHERQ statistics and reports to management
-
Oversee contractor HSE compliance and certification readiness
What You’ll Need:
-
A Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or similar
-
Minimum 5 years’ SHERQ management experience in the food manufacturing sector
-
Knowledge of FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001
-
Strong incident investigation, auditing, and safety training capabilities
-
Familiarity with NEMA; certifications like NEBOSH or IOSH preferred
