Job Purpose
This role is responsible for leading and managing all financial functions within a manufacturing group environment. The Financial Manager will oversee financial planning, reporting, analysis, compliance, and risk management to ensure business goals are met. The ideal candidate will drive financial integrity, cost-efficiency, and strategic alignment across the group’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements.

Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements.

Conduct financial data analysis and trend identification for management decision-making.

Submit financial reports to relevant regulatory bodies and stakeholders.

Manage cash flow forecasts and ensure operational and capital funding availability.

Collaborate with production and operations to develop cost-effective strategies.

Identify and mitigate financial risks; ensure full compliance with financial regulations.

Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, and insurers.

- Financial Management: 10 years or more
- Financial Manager: 10 years or more

Minimum of 10 years in financial management, preferably in the manufacturing or steel industry.

Experience with financial analysis, reporting, and managing cash flow in a high-volume, cost-sensitive business.

Prior leadership experience in managing finance teams.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Attention to detail in financial reporting and process accuracy.

Collaborative and adaptable team player.

Ethical, transparent, and results-driven.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CA(SA) not required).

Proficient in financial software including Pastel Evolution and Microsoft Office.

Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations relevant to manufacturing.
-
Knowledge of steel manufacturing cost structures and capital expenditures is highly advantageous.
Experience
-
Minimum of 10 years in financial management, preferably in the manufacturing or steel industry.

Experience with financial analysis, reporting, and managing cash flow in a high-volume, cost-sensitive business.

Prior leadership experience in managing finance teams.
