Description:
At Radley Private School , we believe that the early years are sacred – a time to build confidence, kindness, curiosity, and care in the hearts of our little entrepreneurs.
We’re looking for a gentle, nurturing Foundation Phase Educator (experienced in coding and robotics) who believes in creating a warm, structured space where young children feel safe to explore, grow and shine. If your classroom is filled with love, laughter and learning, you might be the perfect fit for our close-knit team.
🌱 Who we are
Radley Private School is a small, private academic school in Ferndale – and we do things a little differently. Backed by Raizcorp , Africa’s leading business incubator, we’re proudly one of South Africa’s first entrepreneurial schools , blending traditional academics with the building blocks of independence and self-belief.
Our school is calm, caring and intentional. We:
-
Keep our class sizes small so you can focus on real connection.
-
Create a safe, home-like atmosphere where each child is known and supported .
-
Offer no team sport extra murals , giving you more time for focused teaching, quiet creativity, and care.
-
Invest deeply in our educators with weekly training sessions , including personal development in entrepreneurial thinking.
-
See our teachers as guides and nurturers – shaping children for a world that needs resilience, empathy, and imagination.
🧸 What you’ll do
-
Plan and deliver warm, engaging lessons tailored to young learners.
-
Foster an emotionally safe and structured classroom that supports holistic growth.
-
Communicate gently and clearly with parents to build trust and collaboration.
-
Participate in our educator development sessions.
-
Support children as they build confidence in themselves, their learning, and their world.
👩🏫 Who you are
You are:
-
A qualified Foundation Phase educator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Foundation Phase) – this is a must.
-
SACE registered (permanent registration) and committed to professional integrity.
- Have a minimum of 5 - 7 years' teaching experience in foundation phase.
- Experience in coding and robotics would be an advantage.
-
Naturally warm, caring, and gentle – with strong classroom structure.
-
Excited to teach in a small class environment where no child is ever “just a number”
-
Open to learning new things – especially in the area of entrepreneurial thinking for children
💚 Why you’ll love Radley
-
A peaceful, warm and welcoming school community.
-
The chance to work closely with each child – and truly make an impact.
-
A supportive leadership team that sees and values your work.
-
Ongoing professional and personal development.
-
A school culture that cares deeply – about children, families, and the people who teach them.
