Duties:
Collect and maintain cost information in a comprehensive expenses database. Construct efficient data accumulation systems for accurate reporting. Plan and record variable costs to enhance financial visibility. Review standard and actual costs, ensuring accuracy. Prepare budgeting reports for strategic financial planning. Analyse and report on profit margins for informed decision-making. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions to enhance profitability.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12) Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CIMA Qualified is a BIG Plus
Experience:
3 - 6 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role. Strong technical abilities in financial reporting, analysis, and management, including proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of accounting principles and standards. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
