SUMMARYThe Engineering Production Technician will assist Engineering with the development of new products and the change controlof existing products. In addition The Engineering Production Technician will support production to ensure new products aretransitioned effectively for manufacturing. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Business development- Follow company policy and procedures relating to electronic design and development
- Initiate testing processes to verify the design integrity.
- Assemble, integrate and test sample products to specification in order to create the content required for production processes
- Identify test jig and other requirements that would improve the production build and assembly procedures
- Create and update wiring diagrams for the department including images, BOM’s & assembly drawings
- Ensure the integrity of the Manufacturing/Production Data Pack;
- Draw, create and edit images and drawings using relevant programs
- Assist production and repairs with testing and problems when required
- Complete all relevant documentation related to the products including information for product manuals
- Identify, suggest, communicate and update product data packs for new and updated products as may be required for the
- Marketing, Engineering and Production Departments.
- Assist in conducting laboratory experiments and tests under supervision
- Assist in completing all Engineering change control tasks
- Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research and development initiatives
- Execute any reasonable ad hoc duty given by the Engineering Manager
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- N5-N6 Electronic/Electrical/Computer Engineering Diploma
- Certifications in Technical writing and English is advantageous.
Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in the electronic manufacturing industry
- Some knowledge of product testing and revision control.
- Basic ISO 9001:2015 QMS understanding
- Familiar with version control systems
- Strong English technical writing and editing skills
- Knowledge of image creating and editing tools, Adobe illustrator, CAD, DraftSight or similar
- Basic electronics manufacturing and design process knowledge
- Strong Computer skills including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Paint or similar image editing software.
- Writing Excellence: Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and grammatically flawless content.
- Written and oral communication skills
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring and checking content accuracy and quality.
