Who you are?
We are looking for a Container Logistics Coordinator, to assist in monitoring our vehicle progress on route, to manage drivers and to execute administrative tasks associated with these responsibilities. You are an organised, goal orientated person, who enjoys working in a team and open-space environment. You are comfortable with managing drivers, receiving load instructions, planning your day and allocating loads.
Your Areas of Responsibility
- Capture load requests from clients in the internal system
- Build loads and apply correct costing based on load specifications
- Allocate loads to drivers, considering operational and logistical factors
- Issue loading instructions to drivers and ensure compliance
- Oversee loading and offloading activities, monitoring progress to support on-time delivery
- Track driver progress and load conditions on the road, including temperature monitoring
- Manage driver schedules and hours, and assist in addressing driver queries and requests
- Pre-advise container on Navis System and book port timeslots
- Communicate with clients to provide clear, timely updates throughout the delivery process
- Verify accuracy of driver documentation and resolve any discrepancies
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely submission of paperwork for client invoicing
- Accurately complete and manage documentation and data entry on relevant container industry platforms, including:
- Handling specialised documentation for cargo (e.g. DROs)
- Applying PTI stickers with container number and tare weight
- Communicating container stack statuses (e.g. Firm or PROV)
Salaries are based on a Total Cost to Company model and includes:
- Retirement Annuity
