Description:
Future Phambili Petroleum seeks an analytical and technically strong Senior Accountant to join their team based in Centurion.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for completeness and accuracy of accounting records
- Overseeing and review of full debtors and creditors functions for correctness, including all data inputs and allocations and preparation of certain reconciliations.
- Preparation and review all journals.
- Manage and review all balance sheet control accounts.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting.
- Reviewing management accounts for accuracy, current results compared to prior month/year and actuals to budget.
- Asset verification and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Monitoring of daily Capex and Opex.
- Preparation of budgets and business plans.
- Responsible for daily cash flows.
- Full cashbook function including collections and payments.
- Completion and submission of VAT 201 on SARS E-filing.
- Directing and guidance on the activities of staff.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting.
- Ensuring appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process
- Overseeing payroll preparation and finalisation.
- Assisting with preparation and tracking of BBEE and Skills Development documents.
- Completion and submission of various stats forms
- Prepare monthly price change notices, update price lists and pricing on the system.
