VACANCY: HOSPITAL MANAGER

The Hospital Manager will provide strategic, professional, and operational leadership to ensure the effective delivery of clinical and non-clinical services at the facility. This includes implementing operational strategies, monitoring performance, and managing the daily functioning of the hospital to ensure high-quality care and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the hospital's strategic and operational plans in alignment with group strategy.
- Participate in executive and governance functions, ensuring strong corporate leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, clinical teams, and external healthcare stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care.
- Ensure effective systems are in place for service delivery and clinical support that meet operational and regulatory standards.
- Drive business development by identifying new specialist needs, recruiting doctors, and supporting specialist practice growth.
- Analyse healthcare market trends and competitor activities to develop growth strategies.
- Oversee financial and budgetary planning, including cost-benefit assessments for service provision.
- Promote transformation, inclusivity, and staff development in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee the delivery of facility management services, capital projects, and infrastructure compliance.
- Support and evaluate clinical governance, policy implementation, and standards of care.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement among hospital staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in the healthcare sector.
- At least 5 years in a senior management role within a healthcare environment.
- A diploma or degree (NQF Level 7 or equivalent) in business, health services management, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification or MBA in a relevant field (preferred).
- Experience in corporate or clinical governance, project management, facilities management, and financial oversight.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, hospital operations, and current policy developments.
- Proven leadership in complex, high-pressure environments.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to lead, influence, and implement service innovation.
- Strong grasp of operational performance metrics and systems.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and proactive in decision-making and continuous improvement
