Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Front of House (typically managed by one partner)Welcoming guests and ensuring exceptional service throughout their stay.Managing all guest communications, check-ins/outs, and concierge services.Handling guest complaints with professionalism and speed.Creating a warm, personalized, and luxury guest experience.Hosting meals and events as required. Lodge Operations & Staff ManagementOverseeing the day-to-day operations of the lodge.Supervising department heads (kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, guides).Scheduling and managing staff shifts and leave days.Training and mentoring staff to maintain high standards.Upholding lodge policies, procedures, and service standards. Financial ManagementBudget management and cost control.Managing petty cash, procurement, and supplier relations.Stock control and monthly stock takes (bar, kitchen, housekeeping).Reporting to head office/owners with operational and financial updates. Food and Beverage (F&B) OversightOverseeing kitchen operations and menu planning (with or without a head chef).Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.Managing bar inventory, service quality, and guest preferences.Hosting meals and ensuring seamless dining experiences. Housekeeping & MaintenanceEnsuring all rooms and public areas meet 5-star cleanliness and presentation.Overseeing maintenance schedules for water, solar, vehicles, and general infrastructure.Managing laundry, décor, and room readiness.Reporting and resolving maintenance issues promptly. Administration & ComplianceMaintaining guest records and booking systems.Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.Handling HR administration, including contracts, leave, and disciplinary matters.Liaising with external service providers and contractors as needed.- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in lodge or hospitality management (as a couple).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and hosting abilities.
- Sound financial acumen and administrative skills.
- Comfortable working in remote environments.
- Hands-on and proactive attitude.
- Passionate about wildlife, conservation, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Drivers’ licenses for both partners (with PDP preferred).
- First aid and hospitality certifications are advantageous.
- On-site accommodation (private manager’s house or unit).
- Meals during shifts.
- Utilities (electricity, water, internet) included.
- Use of company vehicle for work purposes.
