ROLE PURPOSEJob Summary:
The Logistics MIS Executive is responsible for maintaining and analyzing logistics data to support efficient operations, timely reporting, and decision-making. This role involves the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and systems to track logistics performance, inventory movement, freight costs, and service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, compile, and analyze data from various logistics functions (transportation, warehousing, inventory, delivery).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on logistics KPIs such as TAT, OTIF, freight costs, delivery timelines, and service levels.
- Monitor and report on stock movements, inventory levels, and shipment status.
- Coordinate with warehouse, transporters, and vendors to obtain required data and ensure accuracy.
- Create and maintain dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
- Highlight deviations and exceptions in logistics operations with actionable insights.
- Assist in logistics budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of logistics-related issues through data insights.
- Support audits and compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
Key Skills:
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and other analytical tools.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Power BI / Tableau or other visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, IT, or a related field .
- 2–5 years of experience in MIS or logistics operations.
Preferred Experience:
- Working knowledge of logistics processes (inbound, outbound, 3PL, last mile).
- Experience in managing large datasets and generating actionable reports.
- Familiarity with logistics KPIs and performance tracking
