Tool & Home is a growing retailer and distributor of quality tools and home improvement products. We focus on efficient operations, customer satisfaction, and data-driven decisions. We’re looking for an experienced Financial Manager to lead our finance team and support strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow

• Report monthly financial performance and provide insights

• Analyze data to support strategic decisions

  Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee accounting operations and ensure compliance

  • Handle month-end and year-end close

  • Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies

    Insurance & Credit Applications

    • Manage insurance matters (claims, vehicles, stock)

    • Handle and process credit application forms

      Creditors & Debtors Management

      • Supervise creditor processes, reconciliations, and payments

      • Manage debtors, issue statements, and follow up on payments

        Payroll & HR

        • Process monthly payroll and maintain HR records

        • Support hiring and onboarding

        • Ensure compliance with HR policies

          E-Commerce & Inventory

          • Reconcile Amazon and Takealot transactions

          • Coordinate stock takes and reconcile variances

            Systems & Efficiency

            • Implement financial systems and improve processes

            • Use Xero, HubDoc, and Google Sheets for reporting

              Required Skills & Qualifications

              • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CIMA/CA preferred)

              • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role

              • Proficiency in Xero, Excel, Google Sheets

              • Strong leadership and communication skills

              • Confident, independent, and proactive
