Hire Resolve’s Client is urgently looking for an experienced Geologist to be based at a Mine in the Northern Cape!
Responsibilities:
- Support and expand iron ore resources using scientific techniques such as remote sensing, geophysics, geological mapping, and exploration drilling.
- Assist in updating geological models with data from secondary drilling, pit mapping, and blast-hole sampling to improve model accuracy.
- Represent geological data through 3D modeling to support informed mine planning and operational decisions.
- Contribute across the value chain—from resource estimation to mine planning and final product—by optimizing ore grade and fragmentation.
- Perform a range of geological and operational tasks including core logging, grade control, data administration, planning, reporting, SHERQ compliance, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Bachelor of Science Honours in Geology
- 3 years experience in a Geology and Exploration role
- Member of Geological Society of South Africa
- Member of South African Council for Natural Scientist
- Experience in Fragmentation analysis and PSD
