Description:
Hire Resolve’s client in the Engineering industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Automation Technician in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on process installations.
- Analyse faults in control and visualization systems and implement improvements.
- Support the breakdown service with complex technical issues.
- Write and adapt software for PLC/SCADA systems.
- Conduct on-site software commissioning (FAT/SAT).
- Draft and maintain functional and technical documentation.
- Guide and support suppliers in the field of process automation.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary project teams.
Requirements:
- Possess an HBO work and thinking level, ideally in Industrial Automation.
- Hold a Millwright Trade Test or an Instrumentation Technician Trade Test.
- Have a Matric / NQF 4 qualification.
- Possess a South African Driver's License.
- Be experienced with PLC and SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, ABB, iFix) and familiar with software like SQL and VMware.
- Understand industrial communication protocols.
- Have insight into production processes.
- Demonstrate an independent work ethic combined with strong cooperation and communication skills.
- Possess analytical skills and a proactive attitude.
- Be familiar with quality and safety systems.
- Have excellent command of both Dutch and English, with German being a bonus.
