Description:
Our client is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Meyerton, Gauteng. This position supports the establishment of a new manufacturing site, with operations beginning in June/July and full production expected by September. The successful candidate will be involved in the relocation and commissioning of machinery from an existing site and will be responsible for ongoing electrical maintenance to ensure production efficiency, quality, and minimal downtime.
Responsibilities:

Perform corrective and preventative electrical maintenance on production equipment

Assist with the relocation and commissioning of machinery at the new site

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and breakdowns
-
Conduct scheduled maintenance as per company guidelines
-
Log daily maintenance activities and manage spare parts usage
-
Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
Requirements:
-
Technical training in electrical and electronic disciplines
-
Experience with industrial automation systems and basic PLC programming
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
-
Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
-
Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
-
Manufacturing experience required; experience with crown cork production is an advantage
