My client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee daily store operations and ensure profitability, performance, and exceptional customer service for their store in George, Western Cape.- This role is ideal for a strong leader with proven retail experience and the ability to manage large teams while driving strategy and operational excellence.
- Lead and manage all aspects of store operations to meet sales and profitability targets
- Ensure merchandise availability, manage inventory, and authorise contracts
- Develop and implement pricing and promotional strategies
- Analyse financial and operational reports to improve efficiency and sales
- Uphold legal and company compliance, including OHS and regulatory requirements
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure service excellence
- Oversee staff scheduling, training, performance management, and HR matters
- Ensure workplace health and safety standards are met
- Monitor and control budgets, expenditure, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail sales/marketing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
- Experience managing large teams and retail environments
- Solid knowledge of compliance, stock control, and retail strategy
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant retail systems
- High level of integrity, accountability, and problem-solving ability
- Proactive and action-oriented
- Customer-focused with strong planning and organisational skills
- Resilient, flexible, and analytical
- Strong supervisory and team leadership capabilities
