Description:

My client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee daily store operations and ensure profitability, performance, and exceptional customer service for their store in George, Western Cape.
  • This role is ideal for a strong leader with proven retail experience and the ability to manage large teams while driving strategy and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of store operations to meet sales and profitability targets
  • Ensure merchandise availability, manage inventory, and authorise contracts
  • Develop and implement pricing and promotional strategies
  • Analyse financial and operational reports to improve efficiency and sales
  • Uphold legal and company compliance, including OHS and regulatory requirements
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure service excellence
  • Oversee staff scheduling, training, performance management, and HR matters
  • Ensure workplace health and safety standards are met
  • Monitor and control budgets, expenditure, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Requirements:
  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail sales/marketing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
  • Experience managing large teams and retail environments
  • Solid knowledge of compliance, stock control, and retail strategy
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant retail systems
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and problem-solving ability
Must haves:
  • Proactive and action-oriented
  • Customer-focused with strong planning and organisational skills
  • Resilient, flexible, and analytical
  • Strong supervisory and team leadership capabilities
