Hire Resolve is currently recruiting for an Internal Auditor on behalf of a leading client in the logistics and courier industry . This organization is a well-established player known for its efficiency and national footprint. This is a standalone role suited for a highly competent self-starter who is ready to own and manage the internal audit function independently.Responsibilities

Audit Planning & Execution

Maintain and update the internal audit dashboard monthly with plans, reports, and findings
-
Plan and perform audits at head office and annually at key branch locations
-
Ensure audits are conducted professionally, on time, and in accordance with audit methodologies
-
Focus audits on high-risk areas identified through risk assessments
-

Reporting & Recommendations
-
Compile comprehensive audit reports highlighting control deficiencies, inefficiencies, and risks
-
Recommend practical, cost-effective solutions to mitigate identified risks
-
Review and finalize all audit reports for submission to senior management
-

Whistleblower & Tip-Off Investigations
-
Investigate reports received via the Ethics Line
-
Liaise with relevant departments to ensure appropriate actions are taken
-
Maintain detailed records of investigations and outcomes
-

Audit Universe Management
-
Maintain a comprehensive audit universe and update it after each audit
-
Use this to inform rolling 6-month and 2-year audit plans

Ad Hoc Assignments
-
Perform special investigations or reviews as requested by senior management

Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong, professional relationships with department heads and branch managers

Communicate audit findings and action plans clearly and diplomatically

Take ownership of professional development and ensure compliance with CPD requirements

Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes

Requirements
-
Degree in Internal Auditing or Accounting (required)
-
Completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles (required)
-
Minimum 3 years of post-articles internal audit experience
-
Proven ability to work independently without team support
-
Strong report-writing and analytical skills
-
Experience with Accpac (preferred)
