REQUIREMENTS: LLB degree Proof of admission to courts Minimum 5 years post-article experience GhostPractice, LegalSuite and/or other legal software experience MS Office Excel, Word and Outlook Strong communication and time management skills Understanding of South African corporate law and regulatory environment DUTIES Represent clients in legal matters including civil, criminal, family, labour, and commercial law Draft, file, and argue cases in court Provide sound legal advice tailored to the client's situation Explain legal rights, responsibilities, and options in understandable terms Advise on contracts, disputes, regulatory compliance, and more Draft and review contracts, wills, affidavits, pleadings, and legal opinions Ensure documents are legally sound, enforceable, and meet client objectives Negotiate on behalf of clients in disputes and settlements Keep accurate financial records Stay updated on changes in legislation, case law, and legal practice Maintain clear, regular communication with clients Inform clients of progress and significant developments in their cases Maintain proper administrative systems and record-keepingSalary: R negotiable dependent on experience
