Cape Town – Engineering / Technical Sales Representative HVAC & Engineering SolutionsMy client, a recognised leader in climate control and HVAC innovation, is seeking a seasoned Engineering Sales Representative to join their dynamic team based in the Cape Winelands. This opportunity is ideal for a technically-versed, high-performing salesperson with solid industry experience and a passion for sustainable, energy-efficient systems. About the role: This position focuses on the sales and business development of HVAC systems and related engineering solution, including airside and applied products such as fan coil units, scroll chillers, heat pumps, and more - primarily in the industrial sector. You will work closely with engineers, consultants, and key decision-makers to tailor and deliver effective solutions to complex challenges.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Driving new business development across the Western Cape
  • Managing a strong client portfolio and identifying key growth opportunities
  • Conducting site visits and client consultations to develop tailored HVAC proposals
  • Preparing and following up on quotations and tenders
  • Collaborating with internal teams to implement effective strategies
  • Achieving sales targets and delivering accurate monthly forecasts
  • Attending relevant technical and sales meetings
Criteria for the role:
  • Engineering qualification and/or accreditation relevant to the role is essential (Mechanical, HVAC, or related)
  • Proven track record in technical sales in HVAC or related engineering fields (e.g. steel, piping, mechanical solutions)
  • A minimum of 4 years’ hard-core technical sales experience in industrial sectors
  • Strong network of potential clients in the Western Cape essential
  • In-depth understanding of HVAC systems including HVZC applications
  • Relevant Engineering qualification (Mechanical, HVAC, or related) required
  • Strong business development skills and ability to identify and convert leads
  • Confident communicator with excellent client engagement skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Good command of the Afrikaans language
  • High level of computer literacy
Please note: Candidates residing in the Cape Winelands or Cape Town surrounds will be given preference for this vacancy
