Role Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and energetic HR Generalist to manage and support a broad range of HR functions across our facility. This role requires someone confident in handling both blue-collar (unionised) and white-collar environments, with sound experience in labour relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, offboarding.
- Guide managers and staff on HR policies and compliance matters.
- Handle employee relations: disciplinary processes, grievances, investigations.
- Manage union engagements and resolve related issues (Metal Workers Union).
- Maintain accurate employee records and reports.
- Assist with WSP/ATR submissions to MESETA.
- Submit EE and BEE reports.
- Oversee IOD reporting and compliance.
- Drive employee engagement, wellness, and training programs.
- Support payroll coordination and benefits administration.
- Monitor Health & Safety compliance and documentation.
- Tertiary qualification in HR or similar.
- At least 3 years’ generalist HR experience in a unionised manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, and related labour laws.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience working with both white- and blue-collar staff.
- Experience with union processes essential.
- Male candidates preferred due to the physical and cultural dynamics of the factory.
