Description:

· Perform drilling and blasting activities according to approved blast plans and safety protocols

· Charging explosives into blast holes using proper charging techniques and equipment

· Ensure the proper placement and stemming of explosives to achieve desired fragmentation and minimize fly-rock

Requirements:

            • Blasting Certification (Opencast)
            • 5 to 10 years’ experience as blaster in Coal Mining operations
            • Knowledge of blasting techniques, explosives safety, and regulatory requirements
            • Knowledge of the Opencast Mining
            • Competent person A certificate
            • Integrity, reliable and ethical
            • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks in a challenging work environment
            • A valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
            • Clear Criminal Record
