Key Responsibilities
- Statutory Compliance :
Manage and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including:
PAYE submissions and reconciliations.
VAT calculations, submissions, and audits and reconciliations.
Income tax compliance and returns for individuals and companies.
Workmen's Compensation submissions and renewals.
Liaise with regulatory bodies to resolve compliance-related queries.
- Financial Management :
Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Manage general ledger reconciliations and month-end closing processes.
- Tax Planning and Advisory :
Provide insights and strategies to optimize tax liabilities.
Support the preparation for audits and liaise with auditors.
- Reporting and Analysis :
Prepare detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement :
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, auditors, and tax advisors.
Act as a trusted advisor for clients, offering guidance on financial best practices.
- Team Leadership :
Supervise and mentor finance staff.
Review work for accuracy and compliance.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, ideally within an accounting firm environment.
Proven experience in statutory submissions, tax planning, and compliance.
Technical Skills :
Strong understanding of financial management, reporting, and compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Pastel)
Advance excel skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
