Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced Sales and FIT Consultant to join their team is Strand, Western Cape. The Sales and FIT Consultant will be responsible for sales consulting, customer satisfaction, communication, customer service, and consulting. The position is based in Strand, with the option for some work from home.Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Respond to inquiries from potential and existing clients (email, phone, online platforms)
- Convert leads into bookings by recommending suitable tour options
- Understand and match customers’ travel needs, interests, and fitness levels with appropriate adventure itineraries
- Upsell and cross-sell products (e.g., extra activities, upgraded accommodations)
FIT (Fully Independent Traveller) Consulting
- Design custom travel itineraries for independent travelers who are not part of a group tour
- Tailor routes, accommodations, transport, and experiences to client preferences
- Ensure all logistical arrangements are efficient and realistic
Customer Service & Satisfaction
- Provide exceptional support throughout the booking process and after-sale follow-up
- Manage changes, special requests, or issues that arise before or during the trip
- Maintain high client satisfaction through responsiveness and travel expertise
Administrative & Technical Duties
- Use CRM systems, Tourplan, WETU, and Office 365 tools (especially Excel) for quoting, booking, reporting, and itinerary creation
- Accurately update customer records and booking details
- Maintain familiarity with the company’s tours and third-party suppliers
Product & Destination Knowledge
- Stay up-to-date on destinations, tours, and logistics in Southern and East Africa
- Advise clients with accurate, current information on travel conditions, visa requirements, health precautions, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of adventure activities and responsible tourism practices
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with other team members to meet sales targets and ensure smooth operations
- Participate in product training, team meetings, and feedback loops
- Suggest improvements to itineraries, sales processes, or customer communications
Requirements:
- Sales Consulting, Consulting, and Communication skills
- Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- 2+ years’ experience in travel sales, preferably with adventure or overland travel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Business, Hospitality, or related field
- Familiarity with booking platforms and CRM tools and Tourplan and WETU.
- Excellent skills in Office 365, especially excel.
