About The Position
Cash Processing Solutions is looking for a Field Service Engineer in Louis Trichardt to be responsible for providing service and maintenance for Cash Processing Solutions equipment at customer sites.
Technical Support
- Provide Site Engineer Service function to CPS customers in line with the customer contracts
- Diagnose systems problems in minimal time and make repairs
- Make recommendations for improving services, reliability and performance of CPS equipment
- Gather and record machine information at regular intervals to monitor performance
- Keep customer apprised of progress during remedial maintenance or during down system situation
- Ensures Optimal Spares, Stock and Tool Management by keeping parts records up to date, timeously replacing worn parts into stock
- Escalate solving technical problems by seeking timely advice or assistance from technical support when necessary
- Handle customer In a professional manner during difficult high-pressure situations
- Document system problems and Preventative Maintenance (PM) performed in customer's site log
- Establish PM schedules and perform according to CPS specifications
- Submit appropriate spare parts paperwork on a weekly basis.
- Submit a weekly site status report to Team Leader & Service Quality Assurance Manager.
- Responsible for assistance with installing machines, Engineering Change Notices that effect current systems and upgrades. Hardware or software upgrades may require technical assistance on unusual or complex systems.
- Support maintenance activities and seek continued improvements of procedures and practices that reduce costs, while maintaining or enhancing customer satisfaction, quality, and services
Requirements:

- Educated to a Diploma or equivalent standard (to include Maths and English)
- This Diploma is highly preferable but may not be essential if the incumbent has the required experience.
- Have an understanding/experience of Mechanics, Electronics and Information Technology
- 3 years or more in Mechanical Field
- 3 years or more years of experience working in a customer facing environment
- Trained in the maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical machines
- Understanding of AC/DC power distribution
- Understanding of digital and analog circuitry
- Ability to work with electronic schematics, logic diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Logical trouble shooting skills and capability to isolate problems at PCB or competence level
- Knowledge of DOS and high speed note sorters is essential - additional technical product specific training will be provided
- Basic understanding or air/vacuum systems
- Experience of working in customer facing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to all levels.

- Educated to a Diploma or equivalent standard (to include Maths and English)
