Workshop Foreman

Workshop Foreman required to supervise approx 10 workshop staff and liaise between workshop staff and the Workshop Manager






Duties & Responsibilities:




•Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
•Ability to perform basic electrical applications and to work with hand tools and power tools.
•Ability and experience in working at heights.
•Technical fault finding and solution application.
•Welding experience: Tig, Arc, CO2, and Spot welding.
•Risk assessment qualification and good knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
•Managerial skills to assist with Site management, oversee workshop staff and co-ordinate their workloads.
•Ability to develop, implement and maintain production systems.
•Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

Desired Experience & Qualification:




Grade 12 or equivalent Technical certificate, and Tertiary Trade qualification.
Tertiary Production and Stock management related qualification will be advantageous.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as Workshop Mechanic OR 5 years in a Factory / Production environment, preferably in the Construction sector - Construction industry knowledge is required.

Welding experience: Tig, Arc, CO2, and Spot welding.

Managerial skills to assist with Site management, oversee workshop staff and co-ordinate their workloads.
Competence on IT systems MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook
Valid SA Drivers license with own transport.
