An established medical practice is seeking a skilled Financial Assistant to support the Practice and Finance Manager with day-to-day financial operations, payroll input, and administrative functions. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in a financial role.
Strong working knowledge of AccPac Desktop 300 (Accounts Payable, Cashbook) – highly advantageous.
Familiarity with Cryanics Billing System – advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Experience with SARS PAYE and VAT submissions via eFiling.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage financial administration independently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and reconcile statements and invoices.
Manage EFT payments, cashbook entries, and daily banking tasks.
Handle PAYE and VAT submissions and payments via SARS eFiling.
Process Workmen’s Compensation and Injury on Duty (IOD) claims.
Assist with vendor applications and documentation.
Support salary input and payroll-related tasks.
Liaise with HR for administrative and staff-related queries.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist auditors as required.
Provide general financial and administrative support as directed.
