- Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain and update the canteen schedule for payroll and executive use.
- Update travel reimbursement schedule for payroll purposes.
- Prepare and process purchase orders.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and accurately capture them in the accounting system.
- Ensure all invoices are properly authorized according to internal approval protocols.
- Accurately allocate invoices to the correct GL accounts and suppliers.
- Maintain and update supplier (creditors) master data.
- Respond to supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete and submit supplier credit applications.
- Send remittance advices after payment runs.
- File paid invoices appropriately.
- Generate AR credit notes and issue invoices related to warranty credits.
- Provide backup support for credit/invoice requests from internal departments.
- Assist with Goods Issued (GI) and Goods Received (GR) documentation as required.
- Reconcile shipping invoices against GI documentation.
- Assist with quarterly stock counts.
- Support the Group Financial Controller or CEO with ad-hoc finance tasks.
Preferred Experience & Background:
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, or admin-related environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving approach.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in high-volume or fast-paced settings.
- Exposure to both South African and international finance (e.g., U.S. operations) is beneficial.
Preferred Education:
- Matric (compulsory).
- Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting (diplomas, certificates, or degrees) are an advantage.
Preferred Software Experience:
- Pastel
- Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
- SAP
- Accpac
- QuickBooks
