Robot Specialist

Description:

Primary Purpose of the Job:

Perform general electrical maintenance, preventative maintenance, as well as fault finding maintenance on industrial robots, project installations, and robotic applications.

Key Performance Areas:

• Repair and maintain robots to ensure customer and company quality standards are met
• Conduct fault finding and preventative maintenance as per maintenance schedule and according to job cards and relevant work instructions
• Compile feedback on time sheets to ensure accurate repair data
• Ensure that company procedures, work instructions, and quality systems are always adhered to
• Participate actively in the departmental M2S as per company requirements
• Ensure that work practices comply with the company SHEQ procedures and work instructions

Minimum Requirements:

• NQF Educational level: N6 / Diploma / Degree
• Educational qualification in:
• Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Instrumentation Engineering
• OR Qualified Electrician or Millwright
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Robot Technician within an automotive environment
• Extensive working knowledge of ABB and KUKA Robots

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Technical techniques

• Manufacturing processes (e.g., BMW V8)
