You'll take ownership of a book value ranging from R100 – R300 million, ensuring financial accuracy across creditors, debtors, VAT, and SARS compliance. Your technical accounting expertise will shine through in preparing accounts up to trial balance and setting up meaningful financial reports. Expect a structured yet relaxed environment, a 07:30 – 15:30 workday. Laptops and tools are provided — just bring your experience, initiative, and a team-first mindset.
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
Proven ability to manage accounts up to trial balance
Experience overseeing junior finance team members
Proficient in Sage Evolution (Pastel Partner experience also beneficial)
Strong knowledge of VAT processing and SARS submissions
Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and double-check work of junior team members, including creditors and debtors processing
Prepare and maintain accounts up to trial balance
Manage and resolve SARS-related matters including VAT submissions
Set up and write financial reports as required
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth month-end and year-end processes
Maintain accurate records for a group with an estimated book value of R100 to 300 million
Contribute to a positive, respectful team culture – lead with fairness and professionalism
