Duties & Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of all hotel maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.Implement and manage a preventative maintenance program for guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests and emergencies.Ensure all equipment and systems operate efficiently and meet safety standards.Liaise with contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard.Monitor utility consumption and implement strategies to reduce wastage and improve energy efficiency.Maintain compliance with all statutory regulations (fire, health & safety, electrical, building regulations).Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget.Lead and manage the maintenance team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.Act as the senior point of contact during shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations across all departments (front office, housekeeping, F&B, etc.).Handle guest complaints, requests, and emergencies with professionalism and discretion.Ensure VIP arrivals are properly welcomed and rooms meet standards.Conduct property walk-throughs to monitor service quality, cleanliness, safety, and staff performance.Liaise with department heads to support operational needs and resolve any issues quickly.Prepare shift reports and communicate critical incidents to senior management.Oversee cash handling, guest billing, and night audit processes when applicable.Support the Front Office team with check-ins/outs and lobby presence during peak periods.- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Building Management, or similar.
- 5+ years’ experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, fire safety, and preventative maintenance protocols.
- Hands-on technical skills across multiple disciplines (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with hotel maintenance software (e.g., Opera, HotSOS, or similar) is advantageous.
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a hotel environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of front office operations, guest relations, and hotel procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, Protel, or similar).
