Bookkeeper

Description:

My client, a well-established company based in Somerset West, is looking for a bookkeeper with at least 2-4 years experience in an Accounting Environment to join their team. Minimum Requirements:

• Accounting Diploma or Equivalent
• A minimum of 2 -4 years relevant experience in an Accounting Environment
• Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel and Pastel)
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Good communication skills
• A successful candidate must be deadline-driven, logical and customer-focused
• Own transport will be essential

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Manage Debtors accounts
• Responsible for Debtors Age analysis
• Issuing of statements
• Resolve all problems pertaining to Debtors
• Capturing of Debtors receipts daily
• Following up payments prior to equipment dispatch
• Creditors – Capture invoices. Monthly reconciliation to Creditor statement
• Processing Bank Statements, Credit Card Statements and Petty Cash monthly
• VAT Returns and submitting on e-filing
• Balances cash on hand account by reconciling entries
• General ledgers and Reconciling entries
• Payroll - Full function of wages and salaries
• EMP201, EMP501 Bi-annual
• Trial Balance
