Minimum Requirements:
A relevant Doctoral Degree At least 3 years experience in higher education Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in Human Rights or International Law or any related area or discipline A record of international and national accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters/Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer Added Advantages
Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning Evidence of successful external fundraising for research. Evidence of supporting early career academics. Recognition in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating). Evidence of networking and collaboration beyond one institution in research and/or teaching Evidence of community engagement integrated with teaching, learning or research Duties:
Participate in research, curriculum design, development, and implementation Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of senior lecturer level Secure external research grants Supervise postgraduate students Establish institutional, regional or national collaborations Contribute to mentorship of emergent academic staff Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research Participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university levels Closing Date: 06 June 2025
