Responsibilities include:Business Consulting: Provide strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, financial restructuring, and other critical business matters. Management Accounting: Analyse costs, budgets, and performance data to support strategic decision-making. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements that present a true and fair view of a company's financial health, ensuring adherence to accounting standards. Auditing: Analyse financial statements meticulously to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and the absence of fraud or misrepresentation. Taxation: Calculate and filing of tax returns for businesses, trusts and individuals, advising on complex tax laws, and strategizing for optimal tax efficiency. Team Management: Lead a team of 15 employees in collaboration with a practice manager and business partner. Role Requirements:
CA(SA) and RA (preferred); registered tax practitioner (good standing). 5-10 years post qualifying experience. Experience in small or medium sized practice (preferred, not essential). Up to date comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of tax. Knowledge of: IFRS and specifically IFRS for SMEs. Auditing standards and requirements. Ethical and professional code of conduct requirements. Valuations and financial analysis. Company and trust law. Giving advice to clients on estate planning.
