Description:
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct risk assessments for potential contracts and agreements.
- Manage the procurement budget while fostering a culture of long-term cost savings.
- Oversee IT systems used for tracking shipments, inventory, and supply chain logistics.
- Compile and present procurement reports for internal stakeholders.
- Develop innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Identify, evaluate, and engage with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and vendors to maximize value.
- Review and monitor existing supplier contracts to ensure continued viability and compliance.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Approve purchase requisitions and coordinate the delivery of goods and services.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field (NQF Level 7).
- 510 years of experience in a similar procurement role.
- Industry experience in Mining, Construction, Engineering, or Manufacturing is advantageous.
- Management experience (minimum 3 years).
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and ensure robust internal controls.
- Proven experience in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
