Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:
Education and Certifications:
Bachelors degree in law, business, risk management, or a related field. Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in claims management, preferably within the construction, insurance, or legal industry. Knowledge of Claims Processes:
Strong understanding of the claims management process, including risk assessment, negotiation, and settlement strategies. Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands. Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).
Beneficial requirements:
Certifications or training in claims management, such as AICM or other relevant qualifications, are a plus. Problem-Solving Skills:
Proven ability to assess complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions for claim resolution. Communication and Negotiation Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to negotiate and resolve disputes professionally and effectively.
Duties and responsibilities:
The Claim Manager will work closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to mitigate risks and ensure timely resolution of claims.
Claim Management and Resolution:
Oversee and manage the lifecycle of all claims from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and fair resolution of disputes. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Evaluate the risks associated with claims and develop strategies to mitigate exposure, ensuring company interests are protected throughout the process. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) and external partners (clients, insurers, contractors) to ensure claims are handled appropriately and in compliance with all contractual obligations. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of claims, including details of the claim, correspondence, settlement, and any relevant documentation, providing regular reports to management. Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement in claims management, developing and implementing best practices and tools to enhance efficiency and reduce claim-rel
