- Financial Oversight: Manage all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management.
- Industry-Focused Analysis: Deliver accurate and timely financial insights to support logistics operations, freight margin analysis, and cost control.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, tax requirements, and industry-specific financial compliance standards.
- Internal Controls & Risk: Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets; identify and mitigate financial risks within the supply chain environment.
- Audit Management: Coordinate external and internal audit processes, ensuring readiness and full compliance.
- ERP & Systems: Lead finance system improvements using logistics ERP platforms for efficient financial operations.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the finance team, encouraging a performance-driven and accountable culture.
- Strategic Partnership: Work closely with operations, commercial, and executive teams to support key business decisions and financial strategy.
Requirements:
- CA(SA) Essential
- Minimum 5 years of financial leadership experience, specifically within the freight, logistics, or transport industry
- Strong understanding of freight costing models, import/export financial flows, and logistics KPIs
- High proficiency in financial systems and Excel; experience with ERP tools used in logistics
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and commercial acumen
- Ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive, operationally intensive environment
