Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in automation engineering within industrial or manufacturing environments. Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken). Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
Beneficial requirements:
Proficiency in automation control systems such as PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI. Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee complex automation projects from start to finish.
Duties and responsibilities:
Design and Development of Automation Systems: Lead the design and development of complex automation systems, ensuring that they meet client specifications and industry standards. System Integration and Optimization: Integrate automation solutions into existing systems and optimize their performance for improved efficiency, reliability, and safety. Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple automation projects from conception to execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level technical support during the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of automation systems, troubleshooting any issues that arise. Mentorship and Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring the teams technical skills and knowledge continue to grow.
